Shadowbox Theatre Company was formed in 1998, recognising the need for high quality professional arts work for people who may have little access to mainstream arts activity in Ireland.  The company has worked extensively in the following two areas:

1. On reminiscence and theatre projects involving various groups of older people around Ireland. 
2. Working with groups of people living with Mental Health problems and intellectual disabilities through theatre.

To add to company has always been committed to placing their work within an international context, and exploring diverse working methods towards theatre making.

Shadowbox believe that every member of society has creative potential, and has the right to develop this.  We seek to facilitate groups to access their artistic creativity and believe that when explored properly we can use art as a forum for growth and social change.
